OVERVIEW

About the Park

Rich in natural wonders and history dating back to the Old West, Wyoming is a beautiful state full of winding rivers, towering mountain peaks, and open plains. Whether you live in the area or have been traversing the country in your RV, when you’re looking for a safe, clean, and convenient place to rest your head while enjoying the great outdoors, Laramie RV Resort Southern Wyoming has you covered. Located on West Baker Street near the Mountain View Estates, Laramie RV Resort is just a short drive from Interstate 80 and Old Stockyards Road. Laramie RV Resort is easily accessible when passing through surrounding towns like Harmony, Centennial, Buford, Horse Creek, The Buttes, and Cheyenne. You’ll find our campgrounds a few miles west of the University of Wyoming and right along the Laramie River.

What to Expect New

What to Expect at Laramie RV Resort

1 / 2

Laramie RV Resort sits along the Laramie River in southern Wyoming, a few miles west of the University of Wyoming and a short hop off I-80.

The Vibe

This is high-plains country, open and quiet, with the Old West close at hand. Concrete pads and tidy sites give you a clean, settled base, while Vedauwoo's granite and Medicine Bow's peaks pull you outdoors the moment you're set up.

A Typical Day

Start with a walk to the dog park and the river, drive 20 minutes to scramble the rock formations at Vedauwoo, then come back to a fire ring and firewood from the office. Cap the night in the game room with indoor table games.

Best For

Road-trippers crossing I-80 and outdoor folks chasing Medicine Bow National Forest. RV and tent sites plus cabins all work, and every RV and tent site is pet-friendly with a 2-pet max and no standard pet fee. Big rigs fit fine.

Good to Know

Vedauwoo's road and campground are seasonal, often clear by April but at full services around June, so a shoulder-season visit means checking ahead. Exit I-80 at 310 and turn at the RJourney sign by the Pilot.

The Sites & Hookups

Laramie runs full-hookup RV sites with 20, 30, and 50-amp service on concrete pads, in both pull-through and back-in layouts, so a one-night stop or a monthly stay both fit. It's big-rig friendly with a dump station on site. Cabins and lodging are available alongside tent sites, and select cabins are pet-friendly for a $10 pet fee. Overnight rates start at $40, monthly at $575. Each site allows 2 vehicles, with free overflow parking for anything extra.

Things to Do Nearby

You're a few miles west of the University of Wyoming, home to the University of Wyoming Art Museum. Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site and the Laramie Plains Museum cover the Old West history. Vedauwoo Recreation Area brings granite climbing and hiking, and Medicine Bow National Forest opens up year-round trails and peaks just outside town. Cheyenne sits an easy drive east for a bigger day out. Laramie itself handles meals, groceries, and supply runs.
